Ambassador Program

Now Launched

The Ambassador program will match community members to drive elderly, disabled or unlicensed neighbors to the grocery store, appointments, and other locations in exchange for driving credits.

This program is funded by a MassCEC Empower Grant in partnership with Preservation of Affordable Housing.

Why start this program?

Good2Go’s mission is to promote equity in the transition to using electric vehicles. Our carshare allows community members with driver’s licenses to use electric vehicles for daily tasks when a car is needed. However, there are many elderly, disabled, and unlicensed people who are unable to take advantage of this program.

Good2Go started our Ambassador program to provide alternative transit options for these people, as well as build community.

Where is the program located?

Two silver Chevy Bolts will be provided at Bartlett Station and Roxbury Community College (locations may change in the future). These two vehicles will be used for the Ambassador program and are available for Ambassador drivers to use separately for their own bookings. Passengers are welcome to sign up from all parts of Boston!

What kinds of driving credits do I get as an Ambasador Driver?

Ambassador drivers get one hour of driving credit for each hour they drive a passenger.

What does this cost for Passengers?

Passengers pay $5 per hour for their rides which includes the vehicle, driver, and level 2 charging. Passengers must also book 72 hours in advance to schedule a ride.

This program is made possible by the MassCEC Empower Grant.
